Tel Aviv's accelerator scene starts with 8200 EISP — Israel's first accelerator, running since 2010, with alumni that have raised $1.6B combined — plus The Junction, run by F2 Venture Capital, which was Israel's most active early-stage fund in 2025. Early checks come from Aleph (early backer of Lemonade, Wix and Fiverr), TLV Partners (over $1B AUM, closed a $250M Fund V in 2026) and Hetz Ventures ($500M AUM). The funding kept accelerating through 2025: Tel Aviv-based companies raised $14.1B, up 77% year-over-year, with exits hitting a record $46B, and cybersecurity alone pulled in $4.4B — a figure equal to roughly 40% of the entire US cybersecurity funding market, raised from a single metro area. There's a real, citable risk factor here too: as of late 2024, about 20% of Israeli high-tech workers were on active reserve duty, nearly double their share of the general workforce — exactly the kind of local hiring instability a distributed flat-price engagement sidesteps.

The biggest tech exit in Israeli history closed here in March 2026: Google completed its $32B all-cash acquisition of Wiz, whose roughly 2,000 employees were overwhelmingly based in Tel Aviv — proof of what a cybersecurity company built here can be worth. Nvidia's local footprint keeps expanding to match: it now leases 18 floors of the Rubinstein Twin Towers, employs 5,000+ across seven Israeli R&D centers, and has committed $500M+ to a new northern-Israel campus. Team8, the venture-creation fund backed by Microsoft and Cisco, raised $365M in fresh capital in 2025 alone, pushing its AUM toward $2B. And the talent pipeline behind all of it is concentrated: Technion, Tel Aviv University and Ben-Gurion University together supply roughly 8,400 graduates a year into top Israeli high-tech roles — Technion alone is the top feeder for the local offices of Nvidia, Apple, Amazon, Google and Meta.
