Miami's accelerator scene has real backing now — 500 Global runs an 8-week Growth Program here, and Endeavor Miami (backed by JPMorgan Chase) runs cohort-based programs for South Florida founders. Capital comes from Fuel Venture Capital (~$550M AUM across a $300M Flagship Fund II), Krillion Ventures and TheVentureCity. The numbers back up the hype: Miami-area startups raised $4.13B across 376 deals in 2025, up 49% from 2024, with fintech ($691M) and Web3 ($243M) both posting real volume in the first half alone. The clearest signal of where the city is headed: Palantir moved its global headquarters from Denver to Aventura, just north of Miami, in February 2026. That kind of anchor tenant pulls senior engineering talent with it — good for the ecosystem's long-term depth, but one more well-funded competitor bidding for the hires you need right now.

Miami's corporate anchor tenants got a lot more concrete in 2025-2026: Citadel and Citadel Securities broke ground on a $2.5B, 1.7-million-square-foot Brickell headquarters tower in March 2026, and both Amazon and Google expanded their Miami offices in the same window — Amazon to roughly 76,000 sq ft in Wynwood, Google to about 45,000 sq ft on Brickell Avenue, more than quadrupling its prior footprint. eMerge Americas acquired Miami AI Hub in mid-2025 and launched the Gold Coast Tech Accelerator two months later, running 8-week fintech and dual-use/defense tracks. The talent pipeline is catching up too — Miami Tech Works has graduated 15,000+ students into tech-adjacent roles since 2021 through apprenticeships with Miami Dade College, FIU and the University of Miami. That's real momentum, and also real competition for the same senior engineers you're trying to hire.
